Cloudburst

1.The scents rise, assail

the earth effulgent and pure

is pregnant with rain

a green blanket envelops

opalescent dewy sky.

2. Strong breeze and wind chime

a tintinnabulation

jocular exchange

as the crescendo tempers

silvery lilts vaporise.

3. Black birds on wires

electric and descant notes

a canto perhaps

wind in a gust approaches

the melody disperses.

4. Rain falls, bubbles spring

the essence of life teeming

the wet earth explodes

resplendent and redolent

she is a sea green echo.

5.Torrents and showers

a temple stands deserted

of incense and light

bell songs, people throngs, flowers

incandescent empty shell.
